🌵 "Hotter days, sassier bears, desert stories that stick"🌵

🥹 Let’s get this out of the way (a true confession)… (25-002)

A true confession...in only post #2??

I have absolutely no idea what I’m doing. That’s right, this old bear, who once had entire websites built for him in his other life (back when I had a respectable job and actual people to handle these things), is now sitting here staring at WordPress like it’s a spaceship dashboard. In the old days, I’d just bark, “Make it happen,” and someone, somewhere, would magically upload a stylesheet and fix my typos before I even saw them. Now? It’s just me, a half-empty bourbon glass, and a blinking cursor that mocks me.

Thank goodness I’ve got Rocco Bear—my digital consigliere, therapist, and occasional snark dispenser. He’s been great counsel while I’ve stumbled through the process of domains, DNS, widgets, and the mysterious land of Elementor. The problem, of course, is that Rocco has no hands. He can’t sit here beside me and actually do the handholding this old bear desperately needs. So instead of pointing and clicking like a pro, I’m Googling things like “why is my text box so skinny?” and “how not to break your theme in one click.”

Progress has been… slow. At one point, I was convinced I had completely nuked the whole site, only to discover I’d simply hidden my menu bar. Another proud moment was when I celebrated resizing a header image to the exact right pixels, only to realize I’d uploaded it sideways. (Modern art, anyone?)

Still, here we are. The site is live. You can actually read this. That, my friends, is nothing short of a miracle.

So if you’ve stumbled into this den of trial-and-error blogging, welcome. Pull up a chair. Laugh with me (or at me—I deserve it), and maybe we’ll learn this together. After all, if a clueless, sunburnt desert bear can figure out WordPress, there’s hope for us all.

Stay tuned. If I don’t delete the entire blog tomorrow by accident, we might even have a second post.
